About Ross Lewis
Ross Lewis is a former international professional photographer.
During Ross' exciting twenty-two year career, between 1972-1994, he was selected for domestic and international photography assignments for national magazines, Fortune 500 corporations and the National Football League. International photographic projects included assignments in Senegal, Nigeria, Brazil, Sweden and Canada. In 1972, Ross was selected as a Special Assignment photographer by the National Football League. For over twelve years, Ross had the privilege to travel to many NFL cities to photograph the up-close, dramatic details, faces and nuances of the games and NFL communities. His photographs were featured in two major NFL books; "The Pro Football Experience" and "Game of Passion" and in the NFL's "PRO!" magazine.
YANKEE STADIUM PHOTOS: Currently Ross Lewis in the process of producing "Yankee Stadium-A Treasure to Humanity", an elegant Fine Art book featuring Ross' magnificent historical photographs of the 2 1/2 year razing and rebirth of the original Yankee Stadium. During that period (October, 1973 through April 1976). Ross received credentials from the City of New York to self-generate his intimate photography of the soul of Yankee Stadium. The project led to Ross taking 13,000 photographs of the transformation of The Stadium; one of America's treasured buildings.
Prior to his 22-year photography career, Ross was an Associate Director on nightly broadcasts with WCBS-TV News in New York City. Later, in 1993, Ross was the President/creator of "SEE/Special Eyes On The Environment", a powerful environmental photography program for special-education students with multiple disabilities throughout New Jersey (1993-2010). The "SEE" program was featured and exhibited in the Senate & House of Representatives Rotundas in Washington, D.C. In 2009 Ross was awarded "Public Citizen of The Year" by the National Association of Social Workers, New Jersey Chapter.
This FineArtAmerica portfolio of photographic images is a growing collection of Ross' work for many years, including present-day images. In October, 2014 Ross was honored as "Artist of the Week" within the "Old Master" Photographer group in FineArtAmerica.
In 2013, Ross' first book, "Welcome Home/A Monument of Honor" was published. "WH/MH" is a volume of color and B&W non-combat photographs and essays generated from 29 Vietnam veterans who served in Vietnam from 1954 through 1975. The book is a dedication to the humanity, dignity and honor of Vietnam veterans.
