In Jacksonville, Florida I had seen this image several times in the bright morning light, but never stopped to take the picture.Rarely, if ever, does an image retain its power and glow when you return. But "Balcony" did! When I returned I discovered that the morning sun coupled with the orange wall were partners-in everyday beauty.
About Ross Lewis
Ross Lewis is a former international professional photographer and a graduate of Rutgers University (BA, English Major-1965). In August, 2019 Ross' historic Yankee Stadium photographs of the rebirth of the original Yankee Stadium in the 1970s, were selected in an international competition and exhibited in Agora Gallery, New York City. During Ross' exciting twenty-two year career, between 1972-1994, he was selected for domestic and international photography assignments for national magazines, Fortune 500 corporations and the National Football League. Thank you Svetlana. 8th Street is near a local hospital where my wife is employed. Every bright morning in Jacksonville, Florida, there is a dramatic early high contrast light which bathes this apartment building and its rich color orange. It calls to you! The power of color and design. A very satisfying early morning moment for me.
