Description
Joe Namath lit up the city of New York. Traditionally, New York is mostly a Giant town. But not when Joe was playing. His grace. His professionalism on the field. His rocket throwing arm and his swagger were perfect for The Big Apple. Even the rival Giant fans loved Broadway Joe. The "impossible" happened in Super Bowl III when Joe's prediction to defeat the Baltimore Colts came true. From that day on, Joe Namath was a New York hero forever.

Don, Thank you for featuring Joe Namath in the Football group. The first time I saw Namath was on a practice field, wearing a Red Jersey, during a Jets workout in Long Island, NY. What captured me the most was Joe's graciousness to the loving crowd which surrounded the field. He signed autographs with a bright smile. So happy to do it! So happy to serve his fans! I'm a Giant fan and a former NFL photographer. But Joe has always been a very special favorite of mine!
