It was an absolute honor and privilege to be a special-assignment photographer for the NFL between 1972-1984. In those days, my primary photo assignments came from Fotune 500 corporations. But the NFL was my "weekend gig". I found that the best way to photograph the faces of players was in their moment of "pause" during the Star Spangled Banner.
About Ross Lewis
Ross Lewis is a former international professional photographer and a graduate of Rutgers University (BA, English Major-1965). In August, 2019 Ross' historic Yankee Stadium photographs of the rebirth of the original Yankee Stadium in the 1970s, were selected in an international competition and exhibited in Agora Gallery, New York City. During Ross' exciting twenty-two year career, between 1972-1994, he was selected for domestic and international photography assignments for national magazines, Fortune 500 corporations and the National Football League.
