Description
Many times, during my travels on I-95, did I have a curiosity about "South of The Border", a heavily advertised road-stop complex along the interstate on the NC/SC border. Many images of brightly colored concrete statues and buildings. But none beckoned me more than the small orange pipe yielding its high noon shadow on the orange textured wall.

Thank you Melany. To my surprise, I have received a lot of positive comments about "South of the Border". On the NC/SC border there's a place called "South of The Border." After many trips up and down I-95, I finally stopped there about 18 months ago to see it: A lot of novelty shops, a few restaurants, gas stations...all surrounded by bold colors. I was somewhat frustrated trying to get a shot(s) which satisfied me...this one (one of my final attempts) was on the way out...never gave it too much thought...But I trust and appreciate the many people who have spoken to me about this. Sometimes it's better, I think, to absorb and enjoy what other people are saying about my photography rather than sticking to my own opinions. My best to you, Ross
