Artist's Description

In the 1980s I photographed the complete construction of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. It was a wonderful and challenging project which took me to the heights of scaling "I" beams as the winter winds blew from the Hudson River. And, always, there were the workers who were consistently willing and generous to take a few moments to allow me to photograph them. "Concrete Man" was a gracious family man who invited me into his world.

Ross Lewis is a former international professional photographer and a graduate of Rutgers University (BA, English Major-1965). In August, 2019 Ross' historic Yankee Stadium photographs of the rebirth of the original Yankee Stadium in the 1970s, were selected in an international competition and exhibited in Agora Gallery, New York City. During Ross' exciting twenty-two year career, between 1972-1994, he was selected for domestic and international photography assignments for national magazines, Fortune 500 corporations and the National Football League.
